Problem:
Kobo Products has been growing quickly and running out of space in their temperature-controlled storage room. They needed a way to efficiently store Retained Samples and gain access to all of them without having to double handle and move them around.
Solution:
They contacted Specialized Storage Solutions after receiving a mailing piece and had them survey the area to find out the best way to meet their needs and use the available space. Our team came up with the idea to utilize a high-density storage system on their computer floor, which eliminated non-productive aisle space and doubled their storage capacity in the existing space. We reinforced the floor tiles, which allowed them to roll the mobile carriages smoothly over the full length of the system, giving them optimal performance.
Result:
Kobo has since ordered two more systems that have virtually eliminated the space problem in their facility and have given them ample room to grow over the next five years.
